Chinese Imperial Palace: Government Administration

BeiJing had been the fortress on the East Asia's geographical map for more than two thousand years, at where every dynasties all built wall cities from Warring States战国(475-211 B.C),was the capital of three dynasties, Yuan Dynasty元朝(1271-1368),Ming Dynasty明朝(1368-1644),Qing Dynasty清朝(1644-1911) , in Chinese history. Through the difference between Ming and Qing Dynasty's government administration ,this part of the film showed the system of Chinese feudal society's government administration and huge historic effect stemed from small difference.

Chinese Imperial Palace: State of Ceremonies

This part of the film shows the most important ceremonies in the Imperial Palace, including of ascending the throne, three important festivals on New Year's Day, the winter solstice and the emperor's birthday, selecting and examining talents, offering sacrifices to the heaven, the earth and the ancestor.

During more than two hundred years, the Forbidden City had gone through many natural disasters of lightning stroke, firing, and the dynasty changed. At 18th, in QianLong'reign, the last properous civilization of Chinese feudal society, the ultimate composition of the imperial palace's architecture group was set up.

Chinese Imperial Palace: Building the Forbidden City

The Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City, was the imperial palace of emperors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located at the centre of Beijing. The construction began in the 4th year of the reign of Yongle Emperor (1406) in the Ming Dynasty, and completed 14 years later (1420). There were 14 emperors in the Ming Dynasty and 10 emperors in the Qing Dynasty had been enthroned and ruled here.

This part of the film shows many aspects of the living in the palace,by true, vivid history, including the story of "Zhen Fei珍妃 (the Emperor GuangXu光绪's wife) Well", the education of a crown prince, the selection of an emperor's wives, the wedding of GuangXu光绪, the common living of CiXi 慈禧 the mother of the Emperor TongZhi 同治).
